Messier 81 is a nearly face-on spiral galaxy located near M82 in Ursa Major. In 1993 a supernova occured in one of its spiral arms. In this image, it is the middle of the three dim stars just to the lower right of the nucleus of the galaxy.
I took this picture from my driveway.
