Grove Creek Observatory is an excellent observatory for amateur astronomers. It is located about four hours WSW of Sydney, Australia. I vacationed there for the first time in April 1998. I brought with me my ST-7 CCD camera. I also brought with me Chicago's bad weather (their drought ended and the rains began the day we arrived). Halfway through the visit, my ST-7 died. The remaining images were taken with GCO's ST-6B. All images were taken through GCO's C-14 ( f/7). For a fuller description of our visit, read my NightTimes article.
On my second trip, in March 2000, I used an ST-7E.
